RESTORATIVE DENTAL CARE

Although maintaining your natural teeth is almost always the first choice, there are times when teeth are missing or cannot be saved. In that case we have several ways of replacing them:

  1. Bridges replace missing teeth by placing crowns on either side of the missing tooth area and suspending a replacement tooth or teeth in-between, then permanently cementing the bridge in place. This can be the most cosmetic and natural option.

  3. Implants can be done to replace a single or multiple teeth. An artificial titanium root is placed in the missing space, then one or more crowns are cemented to the implant(s) after healing. Implants are very useful when you do not have natural teeth that could support a bridge, or we do not want to crown teeth next to a missing space.

  5. Dentures and Partials are becoming less common with our newer preventive dental methods, but are still a needed service for some. We have many ways of making dentures look more natural and comfortable.

  7. Crowns, sometimes called caps, can be used to restore badly damaged teeth when there is not enough good tooth enamel remaining to hold a filling. Modern porcelains can be used to restore your teeth to their original form, function and beauty.

  9. Fillings don’t have to be metal anymore. New generation tooth-colored materials are an excellent alternative when we need to repair a cavity or replace old silver fillings. Because they are chemically bonded to the tooth enamel, these newer fillings not only look better, but can also impart strength.

  11. Endodontic Care, also called Root Canal Treatment, can be done to save a tooth that has a dead or dying nerve (also called the tooth “pulp”). Before we could offer this treatment, teeth with dead or dying nerves (also called an “abscess”) had to be pulled. Several innovations now allow us to offer pain-free and stress-free root canal treatments.
